Teh Siew Joo is one of Malaysia’s foremost pioneer watercolourist and floral painter. His illustrious career spans from the early 50s when he first embarked on his calling in fine art. Since then, Teh Siew Joo has received numerous accolades. Between 1955 and 1961, he worked as a cartoon animator at the Shanghai Art and Film Production Studio. He was involved in the production of many cartoon films such as `A tadpole looking for its mother' which won the People's Republic of China, the Silver Yacht Award in the Cannes Film Festival, France. He has since taken part in numerous art exhibitions locally and overseas with an impressive list of collectors in private and public hands.
