Born in Kedah,
Abmad Fuad Osman, a graduate from the School of Art & Design,
MARA Institute of Technology will present his first solo
exhibition in Malaysia.
This exhibition will highlight his works from 1994 — 1998
incorporating paintings, drawings, mixed media works , sculpture
and video art.
His works delve into his personal world of suffering and fantasy.
Expressed in large canvasses, his paintings and drawing
installations are reflections of his psyche. Unsettling, defiant,
intense and brooding.
His early career as an artist began with loose abstraction edging
towards figuration. His abstracts show primitive and expressive
qualities. Dynamic brushstrokes coupled with prime colours.

His recent development shows his
concern for the environment and man himself.
The figure marks a personal significance. His images of contorted
naked bodies appear alone, lost and displaced.
His figures take on different positions to express different
stages and experiences in life. From foetal, to adolescent to more
matured bodies and to the more grotesque.
A painter, a set designer for stage, television and film as well
as a performance artist and a member of the Matahati group of Art
Ahmad Fuad Osman's collection of 50 works of art entices the
viewer into his personal world of solitude and drama.
