Raja Ahmad Aminullah started writing way back in 1972, but for reasons unclear even to himself, the poems have been set aside, hidden under the cover of time that is adept at the art of concealing.
Prior to this publication we have been denied access to them. These poems turn out to be sketches of a rather large space, within a time span that is equally long. This tireless poet has been jotting down his thoughts and feelings on paper for 30 years, from 1972 to 2004.
The breed of new Malaysians who write, first, in their village or city, then travel to far away continents, perhaps to study, or to search for meaning, are few in numbers. Though they may write on their local environments, they often sense the need to express the sufferings and anguish of those who reside far beyond their borders as well. Such a Malaysian poet is a citizen of the world even if his words and souls are locally rooted and nourished.

This anthology is collection of YM Raja Ahmad Aminullah's feelings throughout his life - and reflects his personal sensibilites and sensitivies to his surroundings, environment and life experiences.
In conjunction with the book launch, there will be:
