  An Exhibition by Zulkifli Yusoff

This December RHB Group of Companies in association with NN Gallery will present Zulkifli Yusoffs fourth solo exhibition. After successfully taken part in numerous groups and solo exhibitions in Kuala Lumpur, Penang , Singapore , Kassel and Venice, he has returned back home to show his recent collection.

Born in Yan, Kedah with a Diploma in Three- Dimensional Arts from ITM, School of Art and Design and a Masters from Manchester Polytechnic, Zulkifli Yusoff has achieved international recognition like no other Malaysian artists in the last decade . Only the second Malaysian artist to show at the Venice Bienale where he took part in an Islamic Art Exhibition of the Islamic World .In the same year he was invited to exhibit an installation in collaboration with four other Malaysian artists Tengku Sabri , Rahim Abdul Jalil , Aznan Omar and Mohammed Faizal in Kassel , Germany.



His installation works are housed in various museums around the region such as Fukuoka Art Museum, Japan, Singapore Art Museum and his recent interest in paintings has amassed international collectors from around the world.

This exhibition will showcase a collection of 18 large drawing works on canvas. His works play upon the theme of Power and the abuse of Power. Using traditional folklores and Malay myths he translates these stories into dramatic visual compositions. His use of laborious and fine cross-etching technique is manifested onto large scale canvasses . The combination of his visual language and the important social and political content of his works express a tangible reflection of Malaysian society and as a result has made him one of Malaysia's most important contemporary artist.
