works are housed in various museums around the region such as
Fukuoka Art Museum, Japan, Singapore Art Museum and his recent
interest in paintings has amassed international collectors from
around the world.
This exhibition will
showcase a collection of 18 large drawing works on canvas. His
works play upon the theme of Power and the abuse of Power. Using
traditional folklores and Malay myths he translates these stories
into dramatic visual compositions. His use of laborious and fine
cross-etching technique is manifested onto large scale canvasses .
The combination of his visual language and the important social
and political content of his works express a tangible reflection
of Malaysian society and as a result has made him one of
Malaysia's most important contemporary artist.
