Another Sky is Alex Ong Boon Hau's 17th Solo Exhibition. The show runs from 28th May - 11 June 2011
Alex returns to NN Gallery with yet another stunning collection of watercolours. His continued focus on wild flowers sees finer detailing and a more manicured landscape showing his deep respect for nature.
His sensual approach in his depiction of these flowers sees many romantic elements. Not only in his strong command of colour harmonies but also in composition. Alex’s understanding and time spent studying these flowers show dramatic imagery unseen in many other portrayals of flowers in watercolours. The flowers are seen dancing in the wind, or even as majestic in our ecosystem, which in turn allows us to take a closer view of his world of blooms.
