NN Gallery presents a
solo exhibition by Kedah born artist Fong Kim Sing entitled
"Misty Fields" from 16th June till 10th July 1999. This
exhibition showcases 60 recent works on paper and mixed media
works on canvas.
Fong Kim Sing returns to stage
his second solo exhibition at NN Gallery. He uses hand made paper
and found objects to create colourful yet serene images of coastal
and landscapes, images called from his travels on Malaysia's
North-South Highway.
Different materials such as
cardboard, tracing paper and other found materials create rich,
textural qualities to best depict expansive fields. He uses the
mist at different times of the day to portray a sense of mythical
awe whilst evoking natural beauty.

This exhibition marks a new
departure from his series "Misty Morning" where he

qualities found in nature expressing a sense of peace, greatness
and places of contemplation.
