       Dr Wong Seng-tong
Born 1939
Dr Wong's interest in art started from childhood.
Graduated from University Malaya with BA and MA (1970 and 1973)and University of Wisconsin (USA) with MA & PhD (1976 and 1978)
Was a university faculty member in Malaysia and Singapore for several decades - Associate Professor at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, and Senior Research Fellow at the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Upon retirement, Dr Wong now spends his time painting, travelling, publishing and in private education.
Actively contributed to the promotion of watercolour since 1980s. Aided in the formation of the Malaysian Watercolour Society (MWS) in 1983 and was its Hon, Secretary until 1990. Dr Wong served two terms (1989-90, 1994-96) as the Sec. Gen. of the Asian Watercolour Confederation (AWC) which Dr Wong restructured and formalised in 1988 in Kuala Lumpur.
Dr Wong has been the Chairman of the Malaysian Watercolour Organisation (MWO) since its inception in 1992.
