Koay Soo Kau 1946 : Born, Penang Education 1966-1967 : Teacher Training College with Art as the Main Option 1966-2001 : Art Teacher 2001 - Currently full-time artist Solo Exhibitions 1969 : “Batik Paintings”, Penang State Library 1973 : “Batik Paintings”, Samat Art Gallery, Kuala Lumpur 1975 : “Batik Paintings”, Petchburi Gallery, Bangkok 1975 : “Batik Paintings”, Norfork Gallery, Sydney 1997 : “Batik Paintings”, The Art Gallery, Mellisa Row, Penang Group Exhibitions 1972 : “Mobil Art Exhibition”, National Art Gallery 1981 : “Penang Art Society Annual Exhibition”, Penang State Art Gallery 1993 : “Charity Show For Spastic Children”, Penang State Art Gallery 2000 : “Pameran Tanpa Tajuk”, Shah Alam Gallery 2003 : “Works 2003”, Yokohama Shimin Gallery, Yokohama He has given two batik painting demonstrations in conjunction with Malaysia National day in Bangkok in 1967 and another in Singapore in conjunction with Penang Week in 1980. He is listed in Who's Who in Malaysia (1973/74, 1977/78).
