Activities of Note
1996 En route to college in United States of America, traveled overland from Singapore to Hong Kong via Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, and China. Used only public transportation and a bicycle.
2001 Drove twice around the United States of America as a journeyman
blacksmith, working for about a dozen blacksmiths and knife makers,
including 3 months working stints with one shop in New York, New York,
New Glarus, Wisconsin, and San Francisco, California.
Artistic Career
1998 Awarded “Rudy Turk Award for Excellence in Craft – Metal”. Administered by Arizona Craft Council.
2000 Awarded “Outstanding Senior Award for Studio (Metal)” by the College of Fine Arts, Arizona State University.
2000 Graduated from Arizona State University with an art degree in Fine Metal,
specializing in metal forming using hand hammers and stakes.
2003 Started Itchy Hands Works, an artisan studio producing handmade metal works.
