A retired teacher and arts educator, Kelantanese Cikgu Hj Ismail bin Salleh, actively pursues his passion for the traditional art of mengkuang weaving. Cikgu Hj Ismail is self taught and has been learning the art of mengkuang for the last 30 years. Traditional patterns of kelarai motifs are woven to create beautiful mengkuang wall decorations.
